If living your brand means practicing what you promote, I am failing.
I spend every day encouraging people to send flowers, celebrate milestones, and bring beauty into their homes but I realized I am not doing those things myself.
That’s changing.
I recently received a beautiful stoneware vase as a gift from my Sister-In-Law for my birthday, and brought home extra flowers to fill it.
How can I expect others to keep the tradition of buying and sending flowers if I’m not doing it too?

🌸 What’s a Designer’s Choice Bouquet?
One of the questions we hear most is, “Will my bouquet look like the photo?”
The answer is yes—in style, color palette, and overall feel. But it may not contain the exact same flowers.
Instead of following a fixed recipe, we design with the freshest seasonal blooms available. That means every bouquet is unique while still capturing the look you fell in love with.
The two bouquets in this carousel are a perfect example. Different flowers, same design style.
We think that’s the best way to create a beautiful bouquet every time. 💐

🚲🌸 Bike flower delivery… a first!
In almost 18 years of running a flower shop, this was a first…
A bike flower delivery. 😂
Was it faster? Absolutely not.
Between finding a basket that actually fit, figuring out how to attach it, securing the flowers, and riding slow enough that the bouquet didn’t become windblown art… I’m pretty sure I spent more time preparing for the delivery than making it.
In fact… I probably could have walked the delivery there faster. 🤣
But here’s the thing…
I had a slow morning, and instead of rushing through it, I gave myself permission to have a little fun. To get creative. To slow down. To get some fresh air and a little exercise.
Honestly, those are exactly the kinds of moments I’ve been hoping to make room for with all the changes happening at Milwaukie Floral. Not every day has to be a race.
Will I make every delivery by bike?
Definitely not. 😅
Would I do it again for the right delivery? Maybe.
One more thing…
Keith says I look silly in my bike helmet. I’ll let you all be the judge. 😆🚴🌸

Just because we no longer have our retail plant nursery doesn’t mean we’ve stopped creating beautiful plant arrangements.
Yadira may not be caring for an entire greenhouse these days, but she definitely hasn’t lost her touch. 💚 With a little notice, she can still create custom dish gardens, planted containers, and living arrangements for gifts, events, offices, or special occasions.
These six planted bowls, featuring Pacific Northwest native plants, are headed out as centerpieces for a local event hosted by one of our wonderful longtime clients. We couldn’t be happier to help bring a little living beauty to their gathering.
